County Comedy Club
Here’s the video of the LUCI gig from a couple of weeks back, I’ve not watched it myself yet, I’m somewhat reluctant to do so! I’m on about 37:30, but watch it all because the other acts are great! Especially the spooky compere Ed Dearden (it was Hallowe’en the next day). Enjoy!
Remember Remember
Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Why? Failed Terrorism.
Scotland for a Day

On Saturday, I went to Scotland for the day. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see everything, but I understand there’s quite a lot of Scotland. I journeyed from my home in Lancaster to Edinburgh, on the earliest train possible – it was dark when I left the house, and it was dark when I arrived home again. For the trip, I did something that I think everyone should do once before they die: Continue reading
Not The Bailrigg News
I appeared as a panellist on Not the Bailrigg News today, with the LUCI (Lancaster University Comedy Institute). Hosted by Jamie Mills, with Jack Maidment and Tom Clements on the panel too, it’s always a fun show on student radio, give it a listen below.
My Stand-Up
I’ve done a couple of open mics in York over the last week just before moving back to University doing a little set about 6 minutes long. I’ve done this set in varying states now 4 times, trying to improve both the set, and myself as a comic. I’ve recorded the set I did at The Basement Open Mic in York on 26th September 2015, and I’ll upload it here for your listening pleasure. Being fairly novice, I’m open to criticism, encouragement and any other comments. I apologise also for the poor quality of the recording, I used the built-in microphone of my phone. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it.

The News this week centred on what Labour didn’t do, and what the Tories, allegedly, did. Continue reading
Haircuts and the Curse of Britishness
I don’t like going to the hairdressers’ at the best of times. The necessary level of physical contact with a stranger makes me uncomfortable. I’ve been going to the same barber’s shop for what must be fifteen years. Even so, I feel conversationally crippled. In all my (albeit reluctant) middle-class Britishness, I can only mumble inane answers to the polite conversation offered by the hairdresser. Continue reading
Mind Your PMs and Qs
Today marked Jeremy Corbyn’s first Prime Minister’s Questions as leader of the opposition and he came armed with actual questions from the actual public, which is a rarity in British Politics. Continue reading

Following a disastrous General Election, the resignation of Bacon-Butty connoisseur Ed Miliband left a leader sized hole in the Labour Party. With less than a week to go before the ballots close, here’s everything you need to know about the Labour Leadership Election. Continue reading
